The Program

The program
What a Project Blackbird event looks like
A one-hour program followed by a 45-minute resource fair, tailored to your community. Here is exactly what happens in the room, and what everyone walks away with.
The experience, step by step
1The film
We open with a 13-minute narrative short film, based on a true story. It gives everyone an honest, shared starting point for a hard conversation.
2The panel
Athletes, artists, and public figures share their real mental-health journeys, with a clinician on the panel to add the how-to: how to recognize a struggle, and how to support someone through it.
3The journal
Each person answers one anonymous prompt, leaves it behind, and takes home a stranger’s message of hope. A real-time reminder that no one is carrying it alone.
4Resource fair + free therapy
A 45-minute resource fair follows, with local and national partners on-site, from mental health to financial literacy, food security, and housing. Every participant signs up for a full year of free therapy before they leave.
